Approaching Exchange Points
As you approach the exchange points, orange cones will direct the relay runners into the relay exchange zone.  If the relay exchange zone is on the marathon path, the relay runners will stay to the side of the course that the relay zone is on.  Signs and volunteers will help direct the relay runners near the exchange zones. The tag on the bottom of your bib number will be taken at the exchange points for record keeping purposes only. Each exchange point will have a team of volunteers to monitor hand-offs and facilitate pickups by bus or individual team designated drivers.

"The Handoff"
After you hand the wristband off to your teammate, move out of the way of other incoming runners as directed by race officials. Be careful when you pass the wristband from one member to the next! A dropped wristband can cause major problems in the exchange zone. It's not a pretty sight … If you lose the wrist band: Not to worry. A slapping of team hands at the exchange zone is permitted as a valid exchange. The tag on the bottom of your bib number will also be taken at this time for record keeping purposes only.

The Finish Line
As you approach the finish line (26.2 miles), the relay runners will be directed to the relay finish line chutes. Please follow the direction of race officials. It is at this point where your team will be officially timed and your pull tag will be taken from you.
