Relay participants have two options for transportation to and from their exchange points:
- Take buses to exchange points from the start/finish line (for information on exchange point buses, click here)
- Drive to and park at exchange points (info provided on this page below)
The 6 mile exchange point is at the southeast corner of Glencoe Park, on Martel just east of Central Expressway (I-75). After crossing Central Expressway (I-75), the race course turns right onto Longview. The relay runners will be directed to run left (north) on Glencoe Street, away from the full marathon runners, then take a right (east) turn onto Martel. The relay exchange zone is located at the southeast corner of Glencoe Park. After the exchange the relay runners will be directed back onto the marathon course.
Parking for this exchange zone is located on areas north of Martel. No parking on Martel is allowed during the race. Parking is allowed on the north and east sides of Glencoe Park and along the Ellsworth Street. The Relay/Sag Bus will be located on the east side of Glencoe Park. There will a designated “No Parking” zone marked off with orange cones that will be used by the Relay Bus. DO NOT PARK IN THE AREA DESIGNATED FOR THE RELAY/SAG BUS.
The 10 mile exchange point is on the west side of White Rock Lake, at the area known as TI Hill. The exchange zone will be located in the TI Hill parking lot. Relay runners will be directed into the relay exchange zone, away from the full marathon runners. There is NO parking in this parking lot.
Parking in this area around White Rock Lake is limited, so it is strongly suggested that all relay runners either take the mile 10 relay bus that leaves from the starting line, or have someone drop them off/pick them up at this point. Limited parking is available along Branchfield Drive and along Fisher Road just north and west of TI Hill. The Relay/Sag Bus will be located across the street from the zone on Branchfield Road, in an area marked with orange cones. DO NOT PARK IN THE AREA DESIGNATED FOR THE RELAY/SAG BUS.
The 15 mile exchange point is on the east side of White Rock Lake, just south of the Bath House on the right side of the course.
DO NOT PARK along West Lake Highlands Drive. The homeowners in this area have been very effective in having cars towed. Parking for a fair amount of cars will be permitted in the Bath House parking lot, but be aware that once runners start approaching the race course near the Bath House, access to the Bath House parking lot will be closed. No parking will be allowed along Northcliff Drive between the Bath House and W. Lake Highlands Drive. The Relay/Sag Bus will be located within the Bath House Parking Lot in an area marked off by orange cones. DO NOT PARK IN THE AREA DESIGNATED FOR THE RELAY/SAG BUS.
The 20 mile exchange point is located on Lakeshore Drive, just west of the Lakewood Blvd. and Lakeshore Dr. intersection. The relay exchange point will be on the left side of the road.
Parking is available north of Lakeshore Drive, on Oakwood Lane and the surrounding streets. Parking is limited to curbside parking, so it will be somewhat limited. The Relay/Sag Bus will be located one block south of the exchange point, on Lakewood. There will a designated “No Parking” zone marked off with orange cones that will be used by the Relay Bus. DO NOT PARK IN THE AREA DESIGNATED FOR THE RELAY/SAG BUS.
