The Dallas Mayor is hosting the annual “Mayor’s Race 5K Fun Run and Walk” as part of the race weekend for the Dallas White Rock marathon. The non-competitive 5K (3.1 mile) event features a scenic course across the Trinity River, through historic Oak Cliff, and back to City Hall Plaza. A shorter one-mile run and walk will immediately follow the start of the 5K.

Dallas City Hall. Race begins at the corner of S. Griffin Street and Ceremonial Drive. Dallas Area Rapid Transit rail schedules available on the DART website.

Parking:
If you are driving to the race, please note that there is street-meter parking (parking meter fees/coins required) near the Convention Center as well as garage or surface parking (parking fee of $4 to $8 will be charged for official Convention Center parking, depending on proximity of the lot).
The Mayor’s Race is a non-competitive 5K Fun Run & Walk that is an affordable event for the entire family. For younger participants, there is a one-mile event immediately following the start of the 5K.
- All participants will receive a Mayor’s Race T-shirt. If available, additional T-shirts can be purchased for $5.
- Online/paid registrants will be chip-timed.
- The fun run and walk will end just outside the Dallas White Rock Marathon Fitness Expo at the Dallas Convention Center; the Expo is a convention-style event where families can visit trade booths and learn more about fitness, diet and exercise.

Race day registration, pre-race activities and live music begin at the starting line located on the north side of the Dallas Convention Center at the intersection of S. Griffin Blvd. and Ceremonial Drive
8:30 a.m. The Mayor and DISD Physical Education teachers lead the pre-race warm-up
9:00 a.m. Mayor’s Race begins
10:00 a.m.
