For more than 10 years, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) has been the primary beneficiary of the Dallas White Rock Marathon. TSRHC treats Texas children with orthopedic conditions at no charge to patient families. The marathon provides financial support for TSRHC through race registration and sponsorships, allowing the hospital to continue to provide the highest quality medical care to Texas children.

Meet the 2007 Junior Race Director, Jaclynne
TSRHC scoliosis patient, Jaclynne (Jac), age 11 of Frisco, is the 2007 Junior Race Director for Wellstone’s Dallas White Rock Marathon, representing thousands of children treated at the hospital each year. In this role, Jac will help participants and sponsors understand how TSRHC benefits from the support of events like the marathon. She will officially start the race on December 9, at 8 a.m., and help fundraise for TSRHC through “Team Jac.”

Jac and her family have created “Team Jac” (Together Everyone Achieves More Joy And Caring) in an effort to support TSRHC. Her goal is to join other TSRHC patients in a fundraising challenge. In addition, Jac challenges the community to join their efforts to support TSRHC through the online fundraising program, Active.com by creating a personal pledge page or by sponsoring a runner or patient.  and match their total of $125,000 to reach a combined total of $250,000 by December 9, 2007!
