Yee Haw! Here's the Low-Down on the Shindig!
Runners, friends, family and local enthusiasts are invited to attend the Texas Shindig happy hour. Since the event is two nights before the marathon, you can relax and not worry about rushing off to bed. In fact, that's why we started the Shindig in the first place - to have a little fun in advance of the marathon without risking our pre-marathon night's sleep!

For Traveling Participants
If you are traveling to Dallas to participate in the marathon, why not plan ahead and arrive on Friday? Not only will you have time to get rested from your travel all day Saturday and still have time to shop the entire Expo at your leisure, but you'll also have a special night to meet some of your fellow marathoners, mingle with elite athletes and meet the race organizers.

For Local Participants
For local race participants, this is a great opportunity to get more involved in the local Dallas running community. Race volunteers and friends and family members all around will also enjoy this evening of camaraderie.

Hats and Boots Not Required
We are a casual bunch here at the Dallas White Rock Marathon Presented by NexBank. We are coming to this event to relax and have just as much fun as you are, and you won't find us putting on our fancy duds for this event. Just come as you are for this special night of fun! It's an evening that will just add to the magic of your marathon weekend!
